SCORE: Bostlund Lotte lamp Model 900

WOOO! So excited to find this Bostlund Lotte lamp. I love their designs. They are so clean and timeless. I was in a thrift store, bee lining way to the bathroom, when I saw it. My normal moto is grab it first, decide later. This time natured called. I quickly did my business, ran out, and snatched it. It was stressful. Things get nabbed quickly in thrift shops.

LAUREL LAMP!!!

Whahoo, looks like I have hit the end of my thrifting slow streak. I found some real quality items this week. I found this laurel lamp in the bin at the goodwill outlet. It was real ganky looking, I should have taken a before shot. I dissassembles the entire lamp,  cleaned, polished, and reassembled it. I made it a nice aluminum shade that constrasts nicely with the brass. Not to bad for $1.99 and + 45min of work.

Curbside Pickup

I was with my friends driving thought town on the way to pick apples. When we see what looks like a garage sale, and out in front is a molded plywood chair. I say "IS THAT A HERMAN MILLER CHAIR?". I whip the car to the side (the quality of the parking was questionable). We dash across the street. When we get there we see that it is not a garage sale, but these guys are clearing out a building, and throwing everything out!!!!!!!!! They said we could take whatever we wanted. Turns out it wasn't a herman miller chair, but a similar looking Plycraft chair designed by George Mulhauser. We also picked up a fiberglass Origami chair by Paul McCobb, a painting/montage by S.Hall(no idea who this is), and two midcentury modern rosewood and naugahyde bench/coffee tables/ottomans. Whoever originally bought this furniture had great taste.
