Lamp

It is very high quality. I found a match in Chicago for $1,100. I don't think it will be purchasing it. Found in The Salvation Army.

  1. When you see an attribution you always have to ask yourself exactly where is this attribution coming from? Who is making this attribution and how much knowledge does the attributor truly have on the subject? Any attribution which presents no reference citation should always be treated as suspect in my opinion.

My research shows absolutely nothing to suggest a Paul McCobb attribution here. This lamp is not pictured in any of the lamp catalogs or other period references related to lamps by Paul McCobb in my research archive, nor is there any written description that might match. It's construction is also unlike that of any other known Paul McCobb lamp designs.

  2. Jonathan. I deleted some previous conversations because I do not want my blog to reflect badly on a business. In response to your last message... it is good to see that they are responsible and want to provide there customers with the most up to date information.
