Cornelis (Cees) A. B. Bantzinger Print

I found this Cornelis (Cees) A. B. Bantzinger Print in goodwill 4 weeks ago. The price was a little steap for me. Everytime I went into the store I visited it. I was waiting for it to be the color of the week and 50% off. I went in today, and I saw pink was onsale on the sign board. Turned out it was only the clothing and shoes :(  I asked the manager and he was kind enough to give me 50% off since it had been there for so long. Cornelis (Cees) A. B. Bantzinger was an Artist in Amsterdam who lived from 1914-1985.

Eames Era White Molded VIKO Chair by Baumritter

I found this chair outside a Salvation Army near the donation pile. I ask an employee outside if they could price it. She said "No, thats property of Salvation army". I explained to her that I wasn't going to take it from the pile, I wanted to purchase it. Then she said "No you don't understand, we sit on it during breaks". She told me it had been sitting there for at least 2 years, under an overhang, and I could ask the store manager is she would sell it. I found the store manager and she said I could have it for $1.99.  The molded plastic seat was very dirty, and had dust and mildew on it. I brought it home, put it in the shower, and scrubbed it down with soft scrub. Vwalla! It's beautiful again

Viko was the modern furniture line of Baumritter furniture. The Viko line was produced in the 1950's. In the 1960's Baumritter Furniture changed its name and became Ethan Allen.

Solid Oak Cocktail Tray

I purchased this solid oad coctail mid-century modern tray at a local thift shop. It was very dried out when i purchased it. Some furniture oil brought it back to life. This must have been an expensive tray at the time. Making undercuts in wood like that can be tricky, and there was probably a lot of scrapped material due to chipping. It came with 6 glasses (not the ones shown) for $3.

Stainless Ice Bucket

I purchased this ice bucket while i was in college at the local Salvation Army. It was the start of my midcentury modern collection. Stainless steel, manufactured in Italy.
